Earlier this year, Glasgow-based Warriors Studio invited 16 of their favourite international artists to create a piece of work in response to nonsense – also known, obsoletely, as "flumadiddle." Say that 5 times fast!
They revealed the responses at the Flumadiddle exhibition last month, part of Graphic Design Festival Scotland. Warriors Studio also printed the work as a series of posters in a traditional tabloid newspaper, displayed at the show like so:
Every spread in Flumadiddle is a fun peek inside the weirder corners of an artist's mind. A fried egg with sprinkles? Sure! A nude cartoon riding a husky? Why not! It just goes to show that great things can happen when you ask the right people to "be useless and be senseless."
The exhibition is still on at The Lighthouse in Glasgow until 25 November, though sadly all the newspapers are gone.
But don't worry: you can scroll through all the posters below – and then follow all the artists on Instagram for more.
