How changes to US tariffs will affect your order

Digital printing

From 29 August 2025, new rules mean all shipments from the UK to the US will face a 10% import duty. This is because the de minimis exemption (which currently lets goods under $800 enter the US without fees) is being removed.

What's changing?

For now, nothing is changing. Since April, when new tariffs were introduced, we’ve already been covering these extra costs in our prices. All orders to the US are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) – this means you won’t see unexpected bills for duties or taxes when your newspapers arrive. We’ll keep doing this for as long as we can.

Delivery times

There may be some delays at customs as the new rules come into effect. If you’re printing for a deadline, we recommend adding extra time to the estimated dates on our delivery calculator.

To avoid any delays, it's important that the name of the recipient listed in the delivery address of your order exactly matches the name associated with the EIN or TIN.

DHL will contact you for these details so please make sure that you are contactable on the email address of your Newspaper Club account and the phone number on the delivery address.
