The helpful newspaper

Cuyama Buckhown is a restored roadside hotel in Cuyama Valley, a nearly 2-million-acre wilderness north of Santa Barbara, California. With so much to explore, they teamed up with Los Padres ForestWatch to produce this 56-page guide to the area for guests to purchase.

"We’re selling the newspapers at the hotel and we’ve never had a product fly off the shelf like this before!"

The digital mini features detailed trail guides (with QR codes linking to geolocations), points of interest, local resources and a packing list for day-trippers. It’s the perfect size for rolling up and sticking in a rucksack to consult on the go.

The Concierge printed by Newspaper Club

The celebration newspaper

English Lakes Hotels, a family-run group of hotels nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the Lake District and Lancashire, marked a significant milestone in 2023 as they celebrated 70 years of hospitality. To mark the occasion, the hotel group organised a series of interactive activities, hosted an anniversary garden party extravaganza and printed a newspaper!

The Concierge, on our traditional tabloids, served as the perfect accompaniment to the celebrations. Providing a comprehensive update for readers, the print detailed hotel experiences, showcased ongoing community projects and paid tribute to dedicated staff members, plus more!

Hampton Manor Hotel by Newspaper Club

The foodie newspaper

Hampton Manor is a "foodie estate for the curious" on the outskirts of Birmingham. From Michelin-starred tasting menus to wood-fired feasts, the focus is to "deliver unique and memorable experiences around the table". The estate also offers 24 individually designed bedrooms and suites in the 45-acres of family-run estate.

To offer a unique insight for guests, they designed a traditional tabloid in collaboration with creative agency Boom that served as a seasonal journal. The print included interviews, recipes and updates from their chefs, bakers and gardeners. It also served as an opportunity for a deep dive into some of their suppliers and makers.

Hotel Chalet designed by WHO WHAT OUI, printed by Newpaper Club

The prop newspaper

Nestled in the foothills of Chattanooga, Tennessee lies Hotel Chalet, a boutique hotel offering an air of nostalgia through "first-class accommodations". Embracing its rich history rooted in rail travel, the hotel invites guests on a journey to explore the surrounding mountains, immerse themselves in arts and entertainment and indulge in après voyage experiences.

In collaboration with creative agency Who What Oui, Hotel Chalet created a campaign newspaper brought to life on our digital tabloids. Beyond its role as a visual prop, the print was designed exclusively for a photoshoot to add "a touch of sophistication to every frame", helping to transport the audience "into a world where luxury meets storytelling".

Every headline, image and line of text was thoughtfully curated to showcase the unique charm and personality that sets Hotel Chalet apart.

''It's not just about selling a stay; it's about inviting our audience to become part of a narrative, to envision themselves within the pages of our story.''
