Details from found photography take on a surreal, painterly quality in this newspaper from Simone Ellero. The title – What Day Is Today? – captures the disorientating nature of the images, shown without context.

The topsy-turvy bundle above – which includes an embroidered patch, greeting card and newsprint portfolio – shows off the range of Mr. Murray's work. The promo pack has been sent to some of the illustrator's lucky clients. To keep delivery costs down, Murray used our mini format, which fits comfortably in a C4 envelope.

In the first issue of Bermudes, a comic from Geneva-based illustrator Jehan Khodl, a pilot who crashes into the sea finds refuge on an island...but things are not what they seem. The 8-page newspaper is a reward for Khodl's Patreon supporters, and a new issue will be published monthly.

"Self promotion is a good chance to critique your own work," says illustrator Kate Hazell about her latest portfolio. She's sending the newspaper to potential clients – along with a postcard and a coaster reading "Maybe I'm your cup of tea", so readers can sit down with a brew while flipping through her work.

Action // Reaction is a collection of 36 paintings by Belgian artist Jolijn Baeckelandt, responding to found newspaper advertisements. The paintings were done on top of real advertisements from different newspapers, and the original works will be on display at Troebel Neyntje in Antwerp next month. The mini zine, available at the show, is purposely dense and frenetic – presenting "an overload of images like we see in newspapers in daily life."

Longflint makes bottled long drinks from handmade syrups and seltzers, paired with the finest small batch spirits. With this second edition of their catalogue, they wanted to let their current lineup shine with a simple design and focus on their craft spirit partners. The paper was distributed at Craft Beer Rising, the biggest craft beer event in the UK, and designed by Paved with Gold.

Epistem is a new publication examining what happens when artists and curators use photography to comment on social change. Produced by The Prindle Institute for Ethics at DePauw University, Epistem is distributed at photography conferences and beyond, with a goal of sparking discussions about photography's role in the political and social landscape.
"We always knew we wanted to take a print-first approach to Epistem," says Conner Gordon of DePauw University. Newsprint as a medium felt "political and immediate – a natural marriage of form and content."

Launched in early March, Sartorial Geek is a lifestyle magazine dedicated to "nerdy fashion, pop culture, and really cool people." Published by the folks behind NYC-based Jordanené, the first issue features health coach Robyn Warren on the cover. "This is the first project that has let us work with so many people we’ve met through other aspects of our business, which has been amazing," says founder Jordan Ellis, who celebrated the new zine with a cake decorated with the debut issue's cover.

Shelby Marie Fuller taught herself to knit in 3 months, and has now turned her hobby into a small business with Elizabeth An'Marie. To introduce her knitwear brand, she's sending out marketing kits – which include this lookbook of recent designs – to magazines and retailers she admires. They're packaged in shiny bubble envelopes for extra flair.
