Salmon pink newsprint is here!

Newspaper Club now offering salmon pink newsprint

We're excited to announce that, from today, you can print your newspaper on salmon pink newsprint.

It's the very same colour used by business publications around the world – like the Financial Times, which adopted the distinctive tint in 1893 to stand out from newsstand rivals.

There's some debate about whether it's a true pink or, as the Pantone Color Institute suggests, more of a "bisque". No matter what you call it, the colour gives any newspaper a warm, sophisticated tone. Blues and greens really pop against this newsprint, but reds and oranges look great, too.

At 45gsm, it's slightly thinner than our standard 52gsm paper – perfect if you're looking for a really lightweight and crisp feel. You can use salmon newsprint with any of our sizes – mini, tabloid or broadsheet – but, for now, it's only available for traditional printing.

There are so many ways to use salmon newsprint and it's a great chance to experiment with the format. If you want your newspaper to stand out in a way that's subtle and inviting – give it a try! Request one of our brand new salmon samples to get started.
