Exhibition: YELLOW by Jim Eyre at Paul Smith Soho

Photographer Jim Eyre has transformed Paul Smith’s Beak St location into a gallery with his detail-oriented exhibition, YELLOW. A quiet study of yellow in its many guises, Eyre shows the colour to be as arresting on a flick of tape as on a school bus.

Eyre, who's worked with clients from Samsung to Mini, trained as an architect before turning to photography. “I think it’s the only way of proving to myself that what I see, is what I’m actually seeing," he says.

To accompany the exhibition, Eyre printed a 20-page digital tabloid with all the photographs and a bright, bold cover – a lovely yellow print for visitors to take home.

Why yellow? A note from Sir Paul Smith himself sums it up: "Jim and I share photographs with the colour YELLOW in them because yellow makes us smile."
