About this newspaper

“They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams an instant, then it’s night once more” Samuel Beckett: Waiting for Godot (1952)

Excelsior Days is a very simple photographic project, from very small-defined areas; from places and areas I know and from people I understand. I see Portraits of people waiting for things to happen or for problems to just fade away. Simple portraits (surreptitious and direct) as a personal view of the human condition where the cafe becomes the stage.

Tagged with oxford, greasy, spoon, cafe, underclass, drug, and, alcohol, addiction, recovery, cowley, road, university, city, and coffee.
